Hello there guys!

Happy Summer break to everyone! (except for those who have summer classes and loads)

Anyway, last semester plus this summer feels me so stressful. Not to mention, all the cases and sacrifices happened.

I know and I am really sure that there are reasons behind those gloomy moments. May God bless us always. Enjoy and have fun. Feel the summer heat with excitement.

Ciao…

Updates and more updates!

July 24, 2007

Good day bloggers! Nice to be back!

It’s been running 3 weeks since my last post here (July 2, 2007 to be exact). Many things were took place, challenging decisions made, mood swings (as ever), work pressures and other stuffs that really rule and affect my life for the past 2-3 weeks. What an introduction?…lol…

To give you updates about my activities for those silent and mesmerizing weeks is my pleasure (no choice).

First, I have just moved in to my new abode (thanks to PAG-IBIG Fund) for always being there for me…hhehheeh…Somewhere in Catalunan Pequeño, Wellspring Highlands. It’s just a 105 sq. meter house, not that big but totally it’s mine and I can see my savings to it every now and then. I celebrated my 1 week just last sunday and anyway no celebration took place…

Second, last July 14, 2007, I together with my 3 students competed for Mindanao-wide ICT Quiz tournament held at SM Supermall, CDO. We placed 2nd runner up (Unexpected Win as always we say!) among 15 Colleges and Universities in Mindanao. Emerged as champion was Ateneo de Zamboaga University followed by MSU-IIT and UIC landed for third place. Please visit this article for the news: UIC-ITE team places 3rd in Mindanao-Wide ICT Quiz Tournament.

Third, last July 20, 2007, I was elected as PIO for Philippine Society for IT Educators in Region 11 back to back with Dean Jerry Flores as newly elected Vice President for Council of Deans in IT Education in Region 11 as well. (GO, TODO NA TO!)…

Fourth, Acquaintance Party for ITE program this Saturday, July 28, 2007 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at UIC Bajada Gym (see, sosyal!), we are looking forward for new and exciting events and activities prepared by ITE Officers this academic year. I’ve heard that ITE faculty as well has special number to be presented. Let’s see!u

Here in the school, Prelim has just culminated and another period is waiting to be battled. Many freshmen right now are starting to build their personalities to be appreciated and recognized. Most of them adjusted already the real environment in college. Many talented individuals are there. I hope they will sustain it inclduing their academic struggles.

See, that’s how busy I am during the past weeks!

Before, I forget! Movie Marathon from Transformers, Harry Potter to Next…

Anyway, rainy season this quarter. Take good care of yourself guys and gals! Bawal magkasakit! God bless us all!

Ciao…

AY 2007-2008 Kicks Off and Pinoy Big Brother Updates!

June 12, 2007

The opening of the class is really quite exciting, challenging and "disappointing". Freshmen were "passive".

Saicy was evicted, beaten by Beatriz… This week’s nominated were Bruce and Robert… The nomination was quite unusual since the housemates were asked to nominate housemates face to face…

Mid Enrolment 101

June 7, 2007

Good day bloggers!

It’s been in the middle day of the week when it comes to our enrolment here. In our program, ITE Program, we are in the, shall we say, the number of enrollees have reached already the 50% of the old students last semester. Many returnees, transferees and shiftees are already in the program, not to mention the old and regular students we have.

Enough for this time!

Just to update soon…

My Exhausting Week!

May 23, 2007

Good day bloggers!

It’s been a long time when my last blog entry was posted. I have been very busy these days, many unexpected events, decisions were made, requirements and monitoring for the completion of my newly built house and etcetera.

It is not that easy to monitor the development of the house, even if it’s coming from the Housing Application I had with Pag-ibig. My only wish is that it will be completed next month.

For my academic life, Summer class is over. Computing the grades with some deliberations are the next battle to take. I told my students that please pray for me while deliberating and computing your grades especially those students who have failed the midterms. I am so busy, going to Davao Light and Water District for my light and water connections. It was really tedious and challenging. Anyway, that’s is life, at the back of my mind, it’s good thing to think it over that you have exerted extra time and effort for your home. Pondering that thing made me refreshed even if it’s tiring.<lol>

In other field, I have watched Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 Nomination Night this week, it was Saicy, Gee Ann, Robert and Mommy Yen that took the hot spots for the eviction moment this saturday. Despite the nominations, it was the time of the "balikbayan housemates" to enter the house. These balikbayan housemates were Wendy and Kian. They were give another chance to in the house again.

Just goodluck me this week. I hope I could manage my time wisely and praying that I will manage my health as well.

Etcetera and more Etceteras

May 18, 2007

Hi bloggers,

Today is the last day of the summer class. Everyone in the campus is busy complying the requirements, clearance, presentations, checking the projects and etcetera. As for my subject, the deadline of their project is on Monday, May 21. The election fever for senatorial race is getting tougher and tougher and everybody is waiting for the result of who will be in the top12 for senate seats. But enough for that, I will leave that one to the  COMELEC or COLLECT, lol…

A while ago, there were two applicants for Part Time Teaching who demonstrated their expertise infront of the Dean of College, ITE Program Associate Dean, 2 ITE Faculty, 5 selected ITE Students. These people have witnessed their teaching skills in front. One applicant was a fresh grad. from this Institution and the other applicant was a part time professor from one of the Universities here in Davao. The two of them had the potentials of being professors of this program. Again, for a first timer, they were good enough for the position but there were always a way to change for the better.

As for the Amrican Idol Season 6 last night, Melinda Doolitle had bidded her goodbye from the journey of American Idol. I felt bad about the last night’s verdsict but it was American Choice of who will comprise the Final 2. Actually, the three of them were totally deserving for the season’s crown but there can only be one AMerican Idol for this season. Melinda received a wondrous applaused from the audience. She was really deserving for such complement from the millions of fans from America.

Election and Academic 101

May 16, 2007

Sidetrip —- As what I have stated in my blog entry last week, I volunteered myself in the Halalan 2007 by the ABS-CBN and STI Media Quick Count. My tasked at that time was to get and tabulate the votes earned by Local CANDIDATES here in Davao City specifically in the District 1. Every 30 minutes we were asked to submit to our assigned poll chief about the numbers we have gathered/tabulated in the precincts assigned to us. We’re assigned to 5 precincts, that could be for 5 volunteers for first shift, so all in all, the 5 of us covered the 25 precincts out of 100+ precincts for that school alone (Maa Central School).

Anyway, there were bloopers, spoofings and unexpected decisions made but totally it was a great experienced, memorable and fulfilling moments for me since I haven’t registered myself for this election. By this simple tasked, I have proven myself that i could help guarding the votes of the people. Nevertheless, there is no perfect election in the history of Philippine Politics but so far so good as for me. I am now looking forward to vote this 2010 National Elections. And I am praying as well for a safe, credible and just election this time not just here in Davao but for the entire country.

In Academic life —- this will be the last week for summer class, so in all my classes, complying and fulfilling the project is our activity in both lecture and laboratory. This Monday will be their deadline and I am hoping for a good output regrading their project (36 programs all in all — 18 for the standard I/O and 18 for FILE I/O).

God bless everyone!-etb-
