Election and Academic 101

May 16, 2007

Sidetrip —- As what I have stated in my blog entry last week, I volunteered myself in the Halalan 2007 by the ABS-CBN and STI Media Quick Count. My tasked at that time was to get and tabulate the votes earned by Local CANDIDATES here in Davao City specifically in the District 1. Every 30 minutes we were asked to submit to our assigned poll chief about the numbers we have gathered/tabulated in the precincts assigned to us. We’re assigned to 5 precincts, that could be for 5 volunteers for first shift, so all in all, the 5 of us covered the 25 precincts out of 100+ precincts for that school alone (Maa Central School).

Anyway, there were bloopers, spoofings and unexpected decisions made but totally it was a great experienced, memorable and fulfilling moments for me since I haven’t registered myself for this election. By this simple tasked, I have proven myself that i could help guarding the votes of the people. Nevertheless, there is no perfect election in the history of Philippine Politics but so far so good as for me. I am now looking forward to vote this 2010 National Elections. And I am praying as well for a safe, credible and just election this time not just here in Davao but for the entire country.

In Academic life —- this will be the last week for summer class, so in all my classes, complying and fulfilling the project is our activity in both lecture and laboratory. This Monday will be their deadline and I am hoping for a good output regrading their project (36 programs all in all — 18 for the standard I/O and 18 for FILE I/O).

God bless everyone!-etb-
