Globally phenomenon, the Spiderman 3 takes his cinema stage once again to prove that it will conquer the world of cinematography this summer. Worldwide release will be this May 1, labor day in the Philippines. Definitely, a great start for May summerscapades.

Here’s the synopsis of the movie:

In Spider-Man™ 3, based on the legendary Marvel Comics series, Peter Parker has finally managed to strike a balance between his devotion to M.J. and his duties as a superhero. Sanjaya bid his goodbyes to the rest of the finalists in the American Idol. He was the recently victim of "I am going Home" song. America loves him very much not to mentioned the contenders he has to face. One comment to him is, "Sanjaya is Love" For him, everything must go on, as what he wore last elimination night, in his tshirt "Life is Beautiful". Truly, he is one of the charmest constestants in the history of the American Idol.

Summer class is on its 2nd week this time. I handled Computer Programming 2 for Computer Science First Year. These set of students are quite resourceful, shalll we say "responsible" in their studies compared to some of my IT 1st year last sem, but infairness for those good IT 1st year studes as well.

The topics to be discussed are just the same with the topics discussed for IT but differ on the duration of lessons to be delivered. What I mean is that, for IT, this subject is offered during the semester or it should be learned and delivered for 5 months and for the CS, the 5 months lessons are being compressed into 6th weeks! Imagine that…lol…

Well, that’s the design of their curriculum, that was why, we came up a new curriculum just last week and ready for the approval wherein IT, CS and IS students (new name for IM) will take this subject during the regular semester. I know these CS students of mine right now have determination and discipline when it comes to the subject. You can see to their output and partial performance as of this time, good for them. Speaking more about the curriculum, there are big changes happened in the curriculum especially in the areas of concentration like: Networking, Software Development, Multimedia, Databases, more mathematics subjects and others. OJT or Practicum has been strenghtened and revised when it come to its policies and guidelines. Summer Classes are optional. Overall, these changes in the curriculum will bring impact to the incoming freshmen of the ITE program.

She rendered the song powerfully, simple and elegantly! Her performance was totally the opposite when she performs on stage every now and then.

As the fates would have it, Kian turned out to be the third evictee from Big Brother’s House. Despite this seemingly sad twist of events, this certifiable positive thinker left his co-housemates with a brave face, smiling all the way.

 

Peace and quiet pervaded the atmosphere inside the house. Few minutes before the announcement of the “chosen one” and the names of the HMs who are saved, it is already noticeable that all the nominees are prepared to welcome the the results of the votes, whether good or bad. But as soon as the names of Gee-Ann and Dionne were called, both girls shout with glee, thankful that they’d still have a chance to remain and be with the HMs they’ve learned to love.

 

Tonight, it seemed that Kian already had a sense of premonition of what was to come as he reminisced with his close guy buddies the special moments they have had together. Already accepting the possibility of being evicted even hours before, he remained calm and optimistic of what life has to offer. He believed that everything that will happen is an opportunity to widen one’s horizons and become a better person.

 

As soon as Bodie’s name was called as the third saved HM, everyone hugged Kian. Not shy to let the people see his emotions, Nel even cried seeing that his friend is about to leave the house. Clearly, all the HMs are sad to see him go but Kian’s last words remain cheerful, "Life goes on!"

 

The results showed Gee-Ann having the highest number of votes acquiring 28.19%, Dionne with 26.65 %, Bodie with 24.90% and Kian landing last with 19.55%.

The life of the party is back in action when Filipino sensation Manny "Pac Man" Pacquiao returns to the ring and the world’ s best 130-pounder squares off with the undefeated Mexican banger Jorge Solis in a 12 round super featherweight encounter. Top Rank is set to broadcast the action on DIRECTV Pay-Per-View on Saturday April 14th, from the Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas.

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao just won the 12th round boxing match aired this day. Solis waived his claim to be undefeated in the 8th rounds. Victorious Filipinos all over the world magnifies that still the Filipino hero as they say reign the center match. The victor of Manny is the victor the Filipino worldwide despite of many challenges encountered in their native land.

GMA7 network got the right to air the boxing moment of the two great boxers of the both worlds of different cultures. Kudos to Manny!

American Idol Season 5 stopped the journey of Haley Scarnato as she became the fifth finalist eliminated from American Idol’s sixth season during Wednesday night’s live broadcast of the Fox reality show’s results show. For more details of the story, click here.

Before this, UIC-ITE Programming Team coached by me had joined in the elimination held in Manila for the Asia Regional Finals last October 2006 at the Holiday Inn Galleria.
